We the Curious, Bristol: a multi-million pound works programme identified and delivered

PHD Building Advisory carried out a planned preventative maintenance survey for We the Curious, Bristol's science engagement charity, identifying a substantial programme of works required across the building over a ten-year period.

Following the survey, PHD were commissioned to manage the delivery of those works over the subsequent two years and continue to do so currently. Projects have ranged from large scale roofing works to re-surfacing works to the Millenium Square Car Park.

Drone surveys included as standard

Every condition survey includes a drone inspection of the roof and external elevations at no additional cost. For large commercial, industrial or education buildings, a ground-level inspection of the roof is not sufficient to identify the full picture. We do not charge extra for drone access because we consider it a non-negotiable part of a thorough survey.

Flexible scheduling

We work around your operations. For schools and academy trusts that means scheduling during half terms and summer holidays. For industrial and commercial clients that means working around shift patterns, restricted access periods, and confidential operational environments including MOD sites.

Survey carried out on site

A director-level RICS-accredited chartered surveyor attends site. The drone survey of the roof and external elevations is carried out as part of the same visit.

Report delivered

You receive a clear written report with a prioritised schedule of works, budget costs for each item, and a planned investment programme. The report is written to be presented to trustees, governors or budget holders without requiring a surveyor to explain it.
